Pat Langford was appointed as Hendry County Tax Collector by Governor Rick Scott in February 2015. In just 2 years as Tax Collector, Pat has been awarded the Florida Tax Collectors CERTIFICATE OF MERIT 2 times from The Florida Tax Collectors, Inc. and The Excellence in Financial Operations Judging Panel.
He served 22 years on the Hendry County School Board along with over 22 years on the Hendry County Recreation Board. He also served on the LaBelle Community Christian Schools Board of Directors for many years.
He was co-owner of Langford Ford, Inc. “Y’all spoken here” in LaBelle, Florida for almost 40 years, with his brother Paul and dad Oscar. Langford Ford won Ford Motor Company’s distinguished President’s Award for customer satisfaction numerous times along with Ford’s Partners in Quality Award. Pat has served his community diligently after graduating from LaBelle High School and attending Minot State College in Minot, North Dakota on an athletic scholarship. He has been a member of LaBelle Quarterback Club since 1975 and continues to work with LaBelle Junior Pro Basketball. He is a member of the LaBelle Rotary Club and was awarded the Rotary Club Four-Way-Test award. In 2014, he was chosen as Citizen of the Year by the LaBelle Chamber of Commerce. Langford Ford was also a recipient of the Chambers Business of The Year. Pat was also inducted into the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Hall of Fame in 2017.
Through the years, Pat has faithfully served his community supporting a variety of charitable organizations.
Pat is a member of the LaBelle First Baptist Church and is a lifelong resident of Hendry County. He and his wife Rhonda have been married for 41 years and is the proud Father of two daughters, Jada and Lori, and Grandfather of six grandchildren, Luke, Jackson, Lance, Brody, Baylee, and Cameryn.
